Most of what VirtueVigil does is warn you. Our database is built on the premise that the movies Hollywood sends into your living room are not always what they look like on the poster. We flag the woke traps. We score the ideology. We tell you what you're getting before you press play.

But the scale cuts both ways. High traditional scores exist, and the films that earn them are worth knowing by name. A high traditional score means a film earns points across categories like faith, masculine virtue, family structure, patriotism, and moral accountability. It means the story treats those values as real, not as punchlines or problems to be overcome. This list collects the ten films in our database that scored highest on the traditional values axis. Some are recent. Some are classics. All of them are worth your time.

#1 — Zootopia 2 (2025)

Zootopia 2 scores highest on raw traditional content in our entire database, largely because it depicts a functioning society, institutions, family bonds, and civic order with real coherence. The problem: it scores even higher on woke ideology, producing a net margin of -38 WOKE. #2 — Youngblood (2026)

A pre-release hockey film that projects high scores on both sides of the scale. Youngblood earns its traditional score through sport-as-character-building, masculine mentorship, and team sacrifice. #3 — The Passion of the Christ (2004)

Mel Gibson funded this himself, shot it in Aramaic and Latin, and watched it gross $612 million on pure word of mouth. Zero woke score. Faith is not background texture here. It is the entire structure of the film. The Passion is the most commercially successful act of religious devotion in Hollywood history, and it earns a near-perfect score on traditional values with nothing holding it back on the other side.

#4 — Reagan (2024)

Sean McNamara's 14-years-in-the-making biopic does not attempt to balance its subject. It worships him. Reagan is scored as a monument to patriotism, anti-communism, faith in American institutions, and masculine leadership. A tiny woke score of 2.4 keeps the net margin at +42. If you believe Ronald Reagan was chosen by God and saved the world from communism, this film will feel exactly right. Dennis Quaid commits fully to the premise.

The fourth SpongeBob theatrical film earns its score by doing something almost exotic in 2025 animation: it just tells a story. Friendship. Courage. Like Zootopia 2, Scarpetta scores high on traditional content because it's built around professional excellence, institutional authority, and moral accountability. A Sony Pictures Animation kids' sports film about a small goat with enormous dreams. The traditional content is genuine: hard work, athletic discipline, the cost of excellence. The Chinese animated sequel scored zero on the woke side and 38.57 on traditional values. The film is built on destiny, sacrifice, and the bond between a father and son that crosses death itself. Yang Yu made something Western animation studios spent years failing to produce: a story about duty and love that earns every emotional moment. #9 — The Night Agent: Season 3 (2026)

Netflix's most reliable action franchise delivers a third season that earns its 38 tradScore through patriotic duty, masculine competence, and institutional loyalty. The show doesn't ambush you with ideology. Progressive elements are minor and integrated into story rather than substituted for it. If you liked Seasons 1 and 2, this is more of the same, and the traditional content holds.

The 1980 Miracle on Ice told straight, with no apologies and no irony. Herb Brooks builds a team through discipline, sacrifice, and masculine accountability.
