#2 — American Sniper (2014)

#3 — Sound of Freedom (2023)
Studios sat on this film for five years. When it finally released, audiences showed up in massive numbers while media critics rushed to discredit it. Jim Caviezel plays a former DHS agent on a mission to rescue trafficked children in Colombia. The media's QAnon smear was not a critique of the film's content but a guilt-by-association attack on its audience. #4 — The Accountant 2 (2025)
Amazon's biggest original action film of 2025 and a worthy sequel to the fan-favorite original. Ben Affleck returns as Christian Wolff, the forensic accountant with autism who happens to be a world-class operative. The autism characterization is thoughtful and non-patronizing. The message that competent individuals with personal integrity outperform compromised institutions is not subtle. It does not need to be. #5 — Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
One of the most purely traditional films Hollywood has produced in the last twenty years. Desmond Doss is not a conscientious objector in the progressive sense. He is a man of deep Christian faith who chose to serve his country without carrying a weapon, then saved 75 men at Hacksaw Ridge through sheer courage and conviction. Mel Gibson directs with the brutal honesty the story demands. Faith is not decoration here. It is the spine of the entire film.

#6 — Inception (2010)
Christopher Nolan's heist-in-dreams masterpiece is built on masculine grief, fatherly love, and moral accountability. Cobb is a father fighting to return to his children while reckoning with genuine culpability. One of the most criminally overlooked war films of recent years. A US Army Sergeant, left for dead in Afghanistan, is saved by his local interpreter at enormous personal risk. What follows is a story about honor, loyalty, and paying your debts when the system refuses to. The Covenant's conservatism is practical: you honor your commitments or you are nothing. Guy Ritchie made an MGM film that works perfectly for the Prime Video library it now calls home.

#8 — A Working Man (2025)
Jason Statham plays a British veteran turned construction worker who goes to war against a trafficking operation after a colleague's daughter is taken. Critics hated it. Audiences loved it. Both are telling the truth about different things. The film validates that trained, disciplined men have a role to play in a world full of predators. No apologies, no ambiguity, no lectures.
