Top 10 Films Conservatives Will Love in 2025

Looking for movies worth your time? Here are 10 films from 2025 that scored Traditional or better on VirtueVigil.

Finding a movie your whole family can watch without getting a lecture is harder than it should be. Most of what Hollywood puts out these days comes loaded with messaging, subtext, or just flat-out ideology that has nothing to do with telling a good story. You sit down to relax and end up feeling like you wandered into a seminar. It gets old fast.

That's where VirtueVigil's scoring system earns its keep. We run every film through our Woke-Watch Scoring System, measuring traditional and woke elements by severity, authenticity, and narrative centrality. A film that scores Traditional or better has real story values: sacrifice, duty, family, faith, earned masculinity, consequences for bad choices. The 10 films below all cleared that bar in 2025. They range from animated family epics to true-story thrillers to faith-based blockbusters. Every one of them is worth your time.

#1
Genre: Animation / Adventure / Comedy
The fourth SpongeBob theatrical outing is a rare thing: a mainstream animated film that delivers its moral without a lecture and doesn't try to be anything it's not. Friendship, courage, and the guidance of a surrogate father figure carry the story from start to finish. Zero ideology, all heart.

Ne Zha 2 (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +39 TRAD
Genre: Animation / Fantasy / Action
China's animated blockbuster is a masterpiece of scale built around something Western studios keep getting wrong: a father and son who love each other without irony. Destiny, sacrifice, and filial devotion drive every frame. The woke score is literally zero. One of the most traditionally coded films of the year, from any country.

How to Train Your Dragon (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +29 TRAD
Genre: Family / Adventure
Dean DeBlois's live-action remake protects what made the originals work: a kid who earns respect through courage and ingenuity, a father-son conflict with real emotional stakes, and a world where being different doesn't make you a victim. Gerard Butler returns as Stoick and brings every pound of authority the role demands. Safe for the whole family.

#4
David (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +26 TRAD
Genre: Animation / Musical / Biblical Epic
Angel Studios' animated biblical musical tells the story of King David from anointing to Goliath to his mercy toward Saul, with craft that rivals the major studios. The faith content is unapologetic: God is real, active, and sovereign. Courage comes from above, not from believing in yourself. $84 million at the box office proves the audience is there.

Karate Kid: Legends (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +23 TRAD
Genre: Action / Drama / Family
The most traditionally coded major studio release of 2025. Older men teaching a young man to be brave, disciplined, and honorable. Hard work, respect for elders, honoring tradition, showing mercy to your enemies. The film doesn't argue for these values; it just lives them. One of the safest and most satisfying watches of the year for conservative families.

The Accountant 2 (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +22 TRAD
Genre: Action / Crime / Thriller
Christian Wolff is one of the best protagonists in action cinema right now: a man with autism and a personal code that has more integrity than anything the institutions around him produce. The sequel delivers the same still-water intensity as the original, built on brotherhood, loyalty, and the simple principle that protecting the innocent is worth the cost.

#7
Last Breath (2025) STRONGLY TRADITIONAL +21 TRAD
Genre: Thriller (True Story)
A true-story survival thriller about a saturation diver stranded on the seafloor with five minutes of oxygen. Built on professional brotherhood, physical courage, and the refusal to leave a teammate behind. No politics, no lectures, just men doing their jobs under impossible pressure. This is what movies about male competence look like when they're made right.

#8
Genre: Animation / Action / Fantasy
The most technically ambitious traditionally animated film in years, and it earns every frame. Family obligation, sacrifice, and the duty to protect drive the story across 155 minutes of breathtaking action. The Tanjiro-Nezuko sibling bond is the moral center: he will fight through every enemy that threatens her. $778 million worldwide proves traditional storytelling still has an audience.

F1 (2025) TRADITIONAL +17 TRAD
Genre: Sports Drama / Action
Brad Pitt as a comeback driver mentoring a young hotshot. Old-school masculinity, mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence, all wrapped in the most viscerally thrilling racing footage put on film. No identity politics, no lectures about systemic anything. Pure story, pure speed, pure craft. The kind of film that reminds you what blockbusters used to feel like.

Song Sung Blue (2025) TRADITIONAL +19 TRAD
Genre: Biography / Musical / Drama
The true story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a Milwaukee couple who built a Neil Diamond tribute act and fought through alcoholism, a car accident, amputation, mental illness, and death without ever letting go of each other. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson give career-best performances in a film that celebrates marriage as a covenant worth dying for. This is what lifelong commitment looks like, without romanticizing any of the cost.
